What is Breacher Hydrogel Tape?

Used by both Military and Law Enforcement agencies. Breaches Hydrogel Tape is an adhesive made of hydrogel used to create a strong bond between the charge and the target on many types of surfaces in a wide range of weather conditions, including wet and cold environments. The bond is sturdy enough to hold a heavy charge without “slipping” or “drooping”. Originally hydrogel was primarily used for the medical and biotech industries, as a versatile conductive copolymer adhesive gel. Recently its application has been utilized in law enforcement and military service as an adhesion substitute for standard tapes where hydrogel is advantageous is its ability to adhere to rough surfaces in difficult environments.

Benefits of Breacher Hydrogel Tape as opposed to relatively thin double-sided tape:

Breacher Hydrogel Tape is easier to peel off its liner backing without the strain of having to pick out the edges of the liner on double-sided tape.

In many cases the Breacher Hydrogel Tape can be re-used or re-applied immediately without losing much adhesive bond strength whereas double-sided tape is expended once applied to a surface.

With an extended liner included in the Breacher Hydrogel Tape it is easier to handle without sticky roll sides exposed.

Can stick to dirty, unclean surfaces and still withhold a strong adhesive bond to a multitude of material surfaces such as wood, metal, glass, and plastic.

Storing and Shelf life:

Stable hydrogel. Lengthy shelf life of 5 years.
Hydrogel comes with clear Mylar® backing and a blue polyethylene release liner to keep gel clean while stored.
Can easily be cut into smaller strips for alternative customizable sizes.
Recommended storing in a cool, dry place in a sealed container for maximum shelf life.
